All six sizes of FireKing KL series fireproof safes carry a UL Class 350 2-hour fire rating, and all have passed the UL impact test earning the right to carry a UL RSC burglary label and a UL-listed relocker.
Why is impact testing important? In many fires, roofs will cave in or the floor will collapse, destroying everything under them. The UL impact test for a 2-hour safe calls for it to be heated to 1638° for 45 minutes and then dropped onto concrete rubble from a height of 30 feet. The safe is then inverted and reheated for another 45 minutes. The safe must maintain its integrity throughout the test and protect all contents.FireKing KL series safes are available in graphite or taupe with ball-bearing hinges, pry-resistant boltwork and a drill-resistant hardplate. Automatically relocking dial combination is standard, digital combination lock optional. All FireKing KL series fireproof safes are “built to order.” Please allow 4-6 weeks for delivery.
